The Menger Hotel is a historic landmark renowned for its elegance and rich history. Built in 1859, it boasts a blend of Victorian charm and modern amenities. The hotel's grand architecture, including its iconic Victorian lobby with ornate detailing and antique furnishings, transports guests to a bygone era. Situated adjacent to the Alamo, the Menger Hotel offers a prime location for exploring San Antonio's cultural and historical attractions.

The Menger Hotel holds a special place in history, having hosted several notable figures over the years. One of the most famous guests was President Theodore Roosevelt, who recruited Rough Riders for the Spanish-American War in the hotel's bar, now known as the Menger Bar. Additionally, famous author Oscar Wilde stayed at the Menger during his lecture tour in the United States. Other notable guests include General Ulysses S. Grant, who visited the hotel after the Civil War, and Robert E. Lee, who is said to have stayed at the Menger during the Reconstruction era.
